It was all hands on deck this morning to make sure we were up, breakfasted and ready to catch the bus to Hosanna House. Yes, it's Tuesday and that can only mean one thing... Pirates and Princesses Day! Once again, our very good friends from group SCFP 707 have joined us for the week.
The journey took about 45 minutes - plenty of time for lots of singing to warm up our voices ready for Mass with the West Indies groups. This is always one of the high points of our week and was really special this year; a lively celebration which ended with a very loud rendition of 'Rise and Shine'! The music was excellent and it was just great to be with wonderful friends. Then it was time for a picnic lunch in the lounge (as it was raining... again!) followed by games, face painting, a bit of shopping in the Hosanna House shop - and of course some sword play and making helpers walk the plank!
Once back at the hotel, we did some preparation for the Wales Regional Mass tomorrow and had a sing song. We were due to go to the Torchlight Procession in the evening but the rain was so bad that we did a ceremony of light in the hotel instead and used our starlight projector, light toys and some gloves with lights at the end of the fingers. We sang hymns about light and then Anya led our night prayers. We were all ready to sleep then.
