Bethan's diary
The following was written by Bethan aged 9 who travelled with group 73 in 2007.
Lourdes !!!!!!!
My first day started when Trisha my adult Minder came to take me to one of the other minders houses so we could get a taxi to take us to the National Museum Of Wales where we going to meet the others. When we got there we had to catch A coach that took us to Bristol airport so we could get an airplane to France. Then we caught a coach to Lourdes. Today it is Megans birthday the entire group went to the Grotto after we went to a café and we had a singsong with group 120. My favourite song was Yogi bear. When we got back to the hotel we had a party for Megan. Paul one of the minders did a magic show he made colured card into French money when we got back to the hotel we had our dinner and every one in the dinner room sang happy birthday to Megan and the all gave her a birthday kiss We all went down to the Grotto and had a mass led by Fr Martin. After the mass we had a play with The big parshoot and then we had a water fight it was so fun that day when we got back to the hotel we had our dinner. Today we had to wake up really early So we could go to the trust mass at the trust mass I had my face panted and we had a lot of photos taken then all of the priests including farther martin started the mass can you believe there was more than 5,000 people there on of the boys who was called Lanoi read something about Bernadette and one of my friends fell asleep in the middle of the mass and when we got back we had our dinner it was beef stew YUK!!!!!!!!!!!! After dinner we played with playdoh and we designed a cup then after we finished we said our prayers and then went to bed. Today we were going to Garvarny so We had to wake up really early to have our breakfast and we had to catch a coach to get to garvarny it took so long getting there I fed a donkey and then we had to line up if we wanted to ride on a donkey. So I did after I road on a donkey we all had 20 minits to go in the shops I went in one of the shops and brought a mood ring and so did Trisha then we had to go back to have our dinner. Today we had to go home we all packed up our things then we left the hotel in a coach that took us to France airport so then we got on the plane and flew to Bristol airport in the airport we had to wait for the boys then we caught a coach to the National Museum of Wales where we were meeting the parents when all the other children had gone Trisha took me back to my house it was so good seeing my mum again!!!!! WELL IT WAS A GREAT EXSPERENCE TO FIND OUT SO MUCH ABOUT ST BEREDETT I LIKED IT SO MUCH I WISH I COULD GO THERE AGAIN AND ALL THE PEOPLE ARE SO NICE,
